Using A Carpet PreSpray

If you are cleaning your carpet by the extraction method, then using a good carpet prespray should be the first thing to use after vacuuming. To take it a step further, using an enzymed fortified carpet prespray will help break down the dirt even further so that the extraction process will remove more dirt.

One of the best carpet presprays I have ever used is called Sledge Hammer. It is a concentrated enzyme fortified prespray that is especially effective in areas that are soiled with food and drink type products. Excellent for cafeterias, meeting rooms, hotel rooms, offices and lobbies. The enzyme activity continues digesting food based stains and odors. Phosphate free. Using Sledge Hammer will result in cleaner carpets; reduced over-wetting and the carpet will dry faster.

CRI Commercial Vacuum Cleaners

When many professional cleaners evaluate commercial vacuum cleaners before purchasing, they often look for equipment that operates a little faster, a little cheaper and easier to use. There is one other attribute that should always be considered as well, and that is the machines effectiveness and environmental performance.

When selecting a commercial vacuum cleaner, one should look for one that is certified with the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Green Label. By selecting a machine with this rating can lead to simplified operation, improved cleaning speed as well as reduced labor costs. A vacuum that carries the CRI certification means it passed various tests, which verify its ability to remove soil, contain dust and retain quality carpet appearance. Many cleaning professionals are also finding that by choosing a CRI green-certified machine they are able to see a marked improvement in their cleaning productivity as well as some more “green” of their own.

Carpet Care Chemicals

Carpet Care Chemicals - Choosing the right cleaning chemical to clean your carpet is important and the process is more than just putting a little carpet cleaner in your extractor and hoping you get a clean carpet.

There are lots of carpet care chemicals to choose from however, there are certain things to know about cleaning your carpet. Some people will spot clean first just to have to do it again after they extract. The best practice is to pre-spray, extract, rinse and then if there are spots left, go back and use your spotter.
